Note that in his interview to the journalists, N. Davidyan, Director of the Republican Scientific Center for Radiation Medicine and Burns, mentioned that the person who burnt himself was HIV-positive and “had drug addiction” and described him as an “avid drug addict” disclosing information on his 10 years’ imprisonment.

Complaint lodged to the European Court of Human Rights on the case of the Khudoyans forcibly removed from the area in front of the presidential palace
HCA Vanadzor lodged a complaint to the European Court of Human Rights on the case of Ashot Khudoyan and Heghine Makaryan, protesting spouses forcibly removed by a group of plain-clothes police officers from the area in front of the RA Presidential Palace due to the official visit of the Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin to the Republic of Armenia on December 2, 2013.
Movses Khachatryan, successor of serviceman Hayk Khachatryan who died of chickenpox on December 30, 2011, received a letter from the European Court of Human Rights dated May 17, 2016 confirming the receipt of the complaint submitted to the Court with the help of his representative lawyer Mushegh Shushanyan.
Preliminary investigation into the case of Serob Gevorgyan, convict deceased at Nubarashen penitentiary, is in progress
Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor took on the protection of the rights of the successors of convict Serob Gevorgyan who died on April 27, 2015.
On March 31, 2016, the European Court of Human Rights admitted the complaint under Marat Dimaksyan’s case, who died from a negligent gunshot by his fellow serviceman on February 5, 2012 on the way to the military hospital. The complaint was lodged on March 28, 2014 by successor to the victim, Alexander Dimaksyan with the help of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor.
HCA Vanadzor supports protection of the violated rights of Karine Harutyunyan from Surenavan village who died from snakebite in August 2015 at Erebuni Medical Center after being transferred there from Ararat Hospital Medical Center.
On August 31, 2015, Gagik Tadevosyan from Surenavan village, Ararat Marz (Region), consulted HCA Vanadzor. He said that on August 17, a snake bit his mother, Karine Harutyunyan, in their yard. She was immediately taken to ‘Ararat Hospital’ Medical Center. Then after receiving no adequate medical care for hours, she was taken to ‘Erebuni’ Medical Center and died there from acute autointoxication and multiple organ failure.
Contract Serviceman Wanted by Police Still Remains under Control of Russian Law Enforcement Agencies

On July 2, 2015, Vardanush Khechikyan from Vanadzor consulted the HCA Vanadzor stating that back on January 16, 2014 her son Garik Khechikyan /patronymic: Levon/ had signed a military service contract. However due to the sharply deteriorated social situation, he submitted a report on discharge from his service before the contract expiration date, and without waiting up for relevant decree, left for Russian Federation for work. The applicant also mentioned that G. Khechikyan was arrested in Russian Federation on suspicion of a crime.
