Every individual has the right to receive free and paid medical help and care in the Republic of Armenia, irrespective of their nationality, race, sex, language, religion, age, health condition, and political or other views, social class, property or other conditions. During April 14-17of 2011, the regional conference of the World Psychiatric Association was held at the Armenia Marriot Hotel in Yerevan. 




On May 26-30, HCA Vanadzor organized a 5-day training on “Human Rights in Psychiatric Hospitals.”
On September 11, 2008, discussion on the results of human rights monitoring held in Lori region Mental Health Facility took place in the office of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor.
Patients of the Vanadzor neurological and psychiatric clinic have complained to rights activist organization on cases of beatings and tortures against them in the institution.
