Vilnius (4 December 2011)—In order to address the inadequate response of states and international organizations to ongoing human rights violations in Europe and Eurasia, 35 leading civil society organizations today launched Civic Solidarity, a new international platform for cooperation.

 Ruben Hayrapetyan Asks HCA-Vanadzor to Answer to the People of Lori Region”Responding to the October 14, 2011 statement of the FFA President, HCA Vanadzor said: the “FFA President was not informed about the lawsuit until recently and after keeping silent for almost a year, he suddenly remembered that HCA Vanadzor had filed lawsuit.”
 In his October 14, 2011 statement, Ruben Hayrapetyan, FFA President, blames HCA Vanadzor for the possible failure of the planned large-scale projects by FFA in Vanadzor and finds that the full responsibility now falls on those initiating the judicial process, i.e. HCA Vanadzor.
 Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor has filed two lawsuits against Vanadzor Municipality, Vanadzor City Council and the Football Federation of Armenia.
 Lori Region Court of Common Jurisdiction is currently hearing 3 civil lawsuits regarding Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute (VSPI). Two of the cases, ‘provost against former instructor’ and ‘former instructor against 17 VSPI employees’ are claims demanding compensation for damaging the honor, dignity, and professional reputation, while the third one, ‘former instructor against VSPI’ is for restoring the position and compensating for forced inactivity.
Vanadzor residents do not have a stadium. The RA Administrative Court, presided over by Judge Arshak Alaverdyan, is hearing the trial of the complaint submitted by “Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor”, human rights organization, against the resolutions made by the Vanadzor Community Avagani.
On August 2, 2011, the court trial of HCA-Vanadzor against Vanadzor Community Avagani was heard by which the organization claims to nullify #75 Resolution and completely abrogate #76 Resolution made by Vanadzor Avagani.

On May 19, 2011, Lori Region Court of First Instance heard the preliminary trial regarding a claim submitted by Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor against the Vanadzor Municipality to abolish #75 Resolution of the Vanadzor Avagani and completely nullify the #76 Resolution.
 # 1 area of temporary shelters in Vanadzor has been sold and 40 homeless family members are in danger of being forced out of their home. The cases of many of them are currently being tried in Court. According to HCA-Vanadzor lawyer Haykuhi Harutyunyan, the sale was carried out illegally.
 On February 16 of 2011, a preliminary court hearing regarding Karine Ayvazyan against Vanadzor mayor will be tried at RA Lori Region Administrative Court.
 On January 25, 2011, Vanadzor Municipality sent a reply to the Vanadzor office of the RA Administrative Court to defend the legality of property donated by the Vanadzor Community Avagani Resolution.
 On October 26, 2010, a resolution on another property donation was made during Vanadzor Avagani session. 9 Avagani members voted for, 3 against the resolution and 3 abstained from it.
 On May 25, 2010 the presentation of the films made within the framework of the project "A model citizen – accountable official" took place in Vanadzor.
 On December 27, 2009, HCA Vanadzor summed up its last year activity and publicized on local “Lori TV.”
 On November 26, 2009, a working meeting was organized in the office of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor on issues related to local self-governmental structure.
