“Police didn’t use guns against participants of the meeting.”

On March 3rd, 4th and 5th 2008, citizens were brought to police. Either they are activists of Levon Ter-Petrossyan’s pre-election offices or they participated in the rally or the strike.

On March 4th 2008, the employees of Vanadzor Police brought several Vanadzor locals to the Police department.

On December 5, 2007 the first instance court of Yerevan Center and Nork-Marash communities dismissed the claim of HCA Vanadzor against RA Police on obliging it to give information.

On September 5th of this year the working group established by the Human Rights Defender of Armenia visited Lori region to clarify information received from HCA Vanadzor on the murder of Lori region prosecutor.

The police of the Republic of Armenia hinder the citizens of RA to exercise their constitutional right to freely spread information.

- Your organization deals with those whose rights are violated. These relations are both in Vanadzor and out of it. Do you think that human rights are more violated in the regions than in the capital?

Declaration on bringing a criminal case against editor of the newspaper "Zhamanak" Arman Babajanyan on the fact of forgery of documents and army avoiding and bringing him illegally to the Prosecutor General's Office shows that Armenian regime has gone beyond the limits which is not within the limits of legitimacy and morality and is out of human logics.
