Today, on September 6, 2019, in Shirak region General Jurisdiction Court, a court session on A. Razgildeyev’s case was appointed.  A. Razgildeyev is accused of J. Ghukasyan’s death.

A. Sakunts, HCA Vanadzor Chairman, and A. Zalyan and H. Hakobyan, HCA Vanadzor lawyers, represent the interests of J. Ghukasyan’s successor.

Today, A. Zalyan was informed by the court that Shirak region Prosecutor K. Gabrielyan, who was supposed to appear in the court as the accusing prosecutor, had presented a note to the court and asked to postpone the session, as he was on holiday.

Let us remind that J. Ghukasyan died in December 2018 in Gyumri after being cruelly beaten by A. Razgildeyev, serviceman in the Russian military base No. 102.

Among other petitions, representatives of the victim’s successor have petitioned to transfer A. Razgildeyev held in the Russian military base No. 102 to the RA appropriate penitentiary institution. Nevertheless, both the body conducting the proceedings and the court refused that petition, reasoning that it would contradict to the RF legislation.

On July 19, 2019, A. Sakunts and A. Zalyan appealed Shirak region and RA Criminal Appeal Court decisions on refusing to transfer A. Razgildeyev to the RA penitentiary institution in the Cassation Court.
