On day 2 of the 3-day First International Conference entitled ‘Healthcare and Human Rights’ launched on November 7, 2016, A. Sakunts, Chairman of HCA Vanadzor presented a report on ‘Challenges in mental health sector in terms of ensuring health rights of persons with mental health problems’.
The report referred to the domestic and international legal acts regulating this sector, as well as a number of problematic issues on placing a person at psychiatric facilities and organizing their further treatment and care there, and ensuring the legal protection of the persons placed at psychiatric facilities.
