In November 2023, the European Intercultural Forum, whose Armenian partner is the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor Office, implemented a series of peacebuilding training courses. The courses trained four representatives of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly.
With the support of the office, the trained specialists will conduct peacebuilding training courses with adolescents in four communities of Armenia.
The first course took place on November 2, 2024 at the “Gyumri Youth House” open youth center in Shirak region. Students aged 13-18 from different schools in Gyumri participated in the course. During the course, the students got acquainted with conflicts, their origin, overcoming and non-violent communication.
The next courses are planned in Echmiadzin, Armavir and Gavar.
