On October 10, World Mental Health Day, Vanadzor State University hosted Marietta Temuryan, Coordinator of the Social and Health Services Monitoring Department of the HCAV Office.
The mental health sector, both in the world and in Armenia, needs continuous attention and implementation of reforms. Youth, in particular, students related to the field of mental health, are of essential importance in breaking stereotypes about mental health. Therefore, within the framework of the “Rights, Services, Participation: Promoting a Comprehensive Framework for Mental Health in Armenia” project, Marietta Temuryan discussed mental health stereotypes, new approaches and the deinstitutionalization process in Armenia with students of the Faculty of Law and the Department of Psychology of VSU.
Mental health is often overlooked, even though it is just as important as physical health. Mental health is an integral part of our lives, affecting our well-being, personal development, relationships and work.
Let us remember that mental health is a right that must be respected, protected and guaranteed for everyone.
