Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor

Last year, the European Volunteer Service volunteers initiated book collection in Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor with a view to replenishing the libraries of the RA penitentiary institutions. 

The matter of the lack of books – particularly of those in foreign languages- in Abovyan penitentiary institution was raised among the public observation group that conducted observations in the RA Ministry of Justice penitentiary institutions and bodies. 

On June 21, 2019, we delivered around 200 books in Armenian and other languages collected as a result of book collection to Abovyan penitentiary institution.
