Description

Compiled through the joint effort of a number of human rights-oriented civil society organizations “Anti-Armenian Xenophobia and Racism in Azerbaijan 2021” is the second installment of an earlier report on “Xenophobia in Azerbaijan”. The new report presents developments that have taken place throughout 2021 and early 2022 that generate an environment of fear, promote violence, and pose a threat of ethnic cleansing of Armenians. The findings of this report reveal the continued genocidal intent and intensified aggression of the Azerbaijani leadership against the indigenous Armenians of Artsakh, which precludes the possibility of reconciliation and a sustainable peace in the region.

The report calls on the Armenian government and the international community to adopt a proactive position and take effective measures to ensure the long-lasting and sustainable security of the Armenians of Artsakh, to condemn and hold accountable Azerbaijan's anti-Armenian policy.
