Weeks ago, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor started an informative campaign on dental services and drugs provided free of charge or with co-payment to socially insecure and special groups by the state.
In the note dated June 27, 2019, we also asked the RA Minister of Health what amount of money was allocated to medical institutions in 2018-2019 to provide the services mentioned, how many beneficiaries and from which groups made use of the services, what services were provided.
The Ministry did not manage to provide us with information in the format expected, however, they mentioned what amount of money was provided for each case for the Republic in general and for Lori marz in accordance with the institutions.
Thus, Artyom Smbatyan, Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, informed that in 2018, in the frame of “Free or privileged provision of medicines”, 312,325 drugs were provided costing AMD 811,177,210.
As of June 30, 2019, 156,264 drugs were provided costing AMD 403,064,014.
In another note, A. Smbatyan informed about the process of implementation of “Dental medical services” project. For 33,120 cases recorded in 2018, 63,543 services costing AMD 307,345,205 were provided.
As of June 30, 2019, 42,826 services were provided for 22,327 cases and that amounted to AMD 205,398,200.
In a separate table, the Ministry gave information on cases recorded in each institution of Lori marz and the amount of money allocated.
