No representative of the dictatorial and aggressor Russian Federation has any place in the Republic of Armenia.
On May 20–21, 2025, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov visited Armenia on a working trip. His arrival was met with public outcry, as demonstrators gathered in front of Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to express their opposition. However, officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs intervened, attempting to disperse the protest by moving participants to a less visible area.
Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor plans to formally contest the actions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, particularly the forced relocation of peaceful protesters away from the public eye.
