Since around 7:30 a.m., the Azerbaijani army continued targeting the civilian population of Stepanakert, capital city of the Republic of Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh, by using “Polonez” and “Smerch” systems.[1]

Around twenty explosions were heard. For almost three hours on end, the air alarm was on. A part of the city was out of electricity, but in about 40 minutes, the power supply was restored.

Since September 27, this has been the longest shelling of Stepanakert so far.[2]

The windows of the nearby shops were damaged, the projectile completely destroyed one of the construction supply stores and damaged the MES station, many cars were either burnt or turned into metal scrap as a result of the projectile fragments strewn all over[3].

Later, at around 17:00, Azerbaijan also started to send missile strikes on Shushi. Since the start of military actions, this is the first time that missile strikes have also been launched on Shushi. Missile striking of Stepanakert is also continuing.

In both cities, there are victims and wounded persons among the civilian population. However, their number is not known yet.[6]
