Our history

The Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor Office /hereinafter referred to as the HCA Vanadzor Office/ is a non-political, non-religious, non-profit public organization that unites individuals who value the principles of democracy, tolerance, pluralism, and the primacy of human rights. HCA Vanadzor Office was founded in 1998 as a branch of HCA Armenia Committee, registered in 2001 and re-registered in 2005 with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia. The head office of the organization is located in Vanadzor, the center of Lori region. The organization has a representative office in Yerevan. The geography of the organization’s activities includes both Lori region and the entire territory of the republic.
