HCAV recorded problems of including and publishing children’s personal data and private life information in the local self-government decisions.

The Organization recorded the issue, in particular, while examining the official website of Ani community in Shirak region, which publishes decisions of Maralik community of Shirak region completely or without hiding the relevant names. Those decisions particularly concern the issue of reuniting of minors with their families, the conditions on the ground of which it is done, as well as care and upbringing issues that fall in the scope of the right to respect for minors’ private life.

Publication of such data is an infringement in the children’s right to respect for their private life and causes serious concerns over protection of the best interests of a child.

HCA Vanadzor addressed a letter regarding the issue to the RA Personal Data Protection Agency, RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Head of Maralik community of Shirak region of the RA.
