On October 10, on the international day of Mental health, Vanadzor State University hosted Marieta Temuryan, the Coordinator of the Department of Monitoring of Social and Medical Services of HCAV.

The field of mental health, both in the world and in Armenia, has constant need for attention and implementation of reforms. The youth have a significant importance for breaking stereotypes about mental health, particularly the students related to the field of mental health. Thus, within the framework of the program “Rights, Services, and Participation: Fostering a Comprehensive Mental Health Framework in Armenia," Marieta Temuryan had a discussion on the stereotypes about mental health, the new approaches, and the deinstitutionalization process in Armenia with the students of the Faculty of Law and the Department of Psychology of VSU.

Mental health is often overshadowed, even though it is as important as physical health. Mental health is an integral part of our overall well-being, which affects the quality of our life, personal growth and development, relationships, and work.

Let us remind ourselves that mental health is a right that should be respected, protected, and guaranteed for all.
