EU COVID-19 Solidarity Programme Standing Together |
Programme name – EU Covid-19 Solidarity Programme for Eastern Partnership 2020-2022
In the frame of the project “Provision of material means to psychiatric institutions” implemented with the financial support of the Netherlands Helsinki Committee, on 29 April 2021, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor office provided 1 computer to Armash Health Center, and 1 computer, 60 liters of disinfectants, 5000 masks and 2000 gloves to Sevan Mental Health Center.
In the frame of this project, material means have already been provided to Gyumri Mental health Center, Avan Mental health Center, National Center for Mental Health Care and Lori Regional Psychiatric-Neurological Dispensary.
The grant of the Project was provided by the Netherlands Helsinki Committee as a result of Call for Proposals to “Supply Equipment to Counter Effects of the COVID-19 in Closed Institutions” for civil society organisations (CSOs) of the EU funded “EU Covid-19 Solidarity Programme for Eastern Partnership 2020-2022.” This programme aims to support CSOs in their response to the immediate and longer-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and is part of a broader set of activities carried out by a consortium of the Netherlands Helsinki Committee (in cooperation with Federation Global Initiative in Psychiatry, FGIP), People in Need and AFEW International.
The aim of the Project is to contribute to the right to communicate with the outside world and the right to health in psychiatric institutions by providing the relevant technical and personal protective equipment and disinfectants.
In the frame of the Project, it is envisaged to provide personal protective equipment and disinfectants to 7 psychiatric institutions, as well as computers and a one-year internet access to one of the institutions.
