HCAV sends information inquiries to various state organizations, territorial and local self-government bodies in order to effectively organize and implement human rights protection.

The obtained information is used for restoration of violated rights of citizens who apply to the Organization or legal consultation provided for the enjoyment of their right.

Letters provided in response to those inquiries give an opportunity to assess observance of norms of information provision by state bodies and local self-government bodies as established by law, from the viewpoint of requirements of the Law on Freedom of Information.
