Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor

Today, on November 27, 2018, the RA Administrative Court continued examining L.A.’s claim against the RA Government to recognize null and void the decision dated June 14, 2018, made by the competition commission that held a competition for holding the vacant position of chief specialist of risk assessment, inspection planning, analysis and evaluation department of the inspection body of the RA Ministry of Education and Science.

On June 14, 2018, L.A.  participated in the interview stage of the competition and scored more than 75% of the required points. However, the competition commission assessed 60 points, that leading to L.A. not overcoming the interview stage.

L.A. appealed the commission’s decision to the RA Civil Service Council, but the decision remained unaltered.

On August 15, 2018, with the support of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor, L.A. applied to the RA Administrative Court claiming to recognize null and void the decision dated June 14, 2018, made by the competition commission.

Today, HCA Vanadzor Yerevan representation lawyers Emma Shahinyan and Mariam Karapetyan were involved as representatives of the plaintiff in the Court.

The Court provided the representative of the RA Government with 5 working days to present all the documents and recordings related to the conduct of examinations by the competition commission for getting the vacant position of chief specialist of risk assessment, inspection planning, analysis and evaluation department of the inspection body of the RA Ministry of Education and Science.

The Court will notify about the next court session.
