According to the initial information provided by Artsakh Human Rights Defender Artak Beglaryan, at least four civilians were wounded and one civilian was killed as a result of the missile strikes launched on residential buildings in Stepanakert, capital city of the Republic of Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh, three times by the Azerbaijani side.[1]
Two residential buildings were seriously damaged. Certain damage was also recorded as a result of the targeting of the bus transporting journalists in Martakert. The journalists were not injured.
At this moment, there are 14 victims among the civilian population, 12 of them were on the territory of the Republic of Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh, 2 were in the Republic of Armenia.
According to the RA MoD representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan, Azerbaijan has resorted to using long-range weapon to destroy the civilian infrastructure that could lead to an environmental disaster.
As the Armenian Unified Infocenter informs, Stepanakert, the capital city of the Republic of Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh, was again shelled in the morning.[2]
Later, Artsrun Hovhannisyan posted on his Facebook page a photo of a Turkish projectile in RA Vardenis Kut[3] village.
The Azerbaijani side is also using LAR-160 artillery rocket cluster munitions against the civilian population[4].
