In January 2024, we launched the three-year project “Rights, Services, and Participation: Fostering a Comprehensive Mental Health Framework in Armenia”. Today we are pleased to present the Project to all Armenia-based international, state and non-governmental organizations, and mass media interested in the mental health sphere, as well as the public. 

 

The following individuals were among attendees of the Project launch event:

 

  • Vassilis Maragos - Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia
  • Anahit Avanesyan - the RA Minister of Health 
  • Zhanna Andreasyan - the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports
  • Narek Mkrtchyan - the RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs

 

The overall goal of the action is to support the integration of a rights-based approach in mental health by creating policies and mechanisms for accessible, inclusive, mental health services and favorable public attitude towards mental health issues in Armenia.

 

The Project is implemented by

  • Armenian Mental Health Association
  • with the financial support of the European Union.
