Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor continues raising awareness among conscripts, servicemen and their families about their rights and obligations.
During June-July 2019, funded by the National Endowment Democracy, in the frame of “Protection of the rights of conscripts and servicemen”, Armine Sadikyan, Coordinator of Peacebuilding Projects at HCA Vanadzor, and Syuzanna Soghomonyan, lawyer of the organization, conducted trainings in Tavush, Ararat, Lori and Gegharkunik regions.
In the frame of the project, the series of the trainings aim at raising awareness among the population of all the RA regions and the capital about the rights and obligations of persons subject to military enlistment in the RA, conscripts and servicemen.
The participants are informed about their rights and obligations, legislative changes, procedures and activities of bodies that operate in the sphere.
Armine Sadikyan and Syuzanna Soghomonyan also presented and provided the participants with a booklet on the rights and obligations of conscripts, servicemen and persons subject to enlistment in the Republic of Armenia. The booklet is also available on the Organization’s website and is kept updated in connection with legislative changes.
In the frame of the trainings, HCA Vanadzor representatives provide oral consultation free of charge to persons who need legal consultation. Later, if necessary, legal support is also provided in written form.
