In the frame of EU-funded project, HCA Vanadzor donates to penitentiary institutions means to fight the pandemic

On 18 September 2020, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly-Vanadzor, in the frame of EU-funded project “Combatting torture and ill-treatment in Georgia, Armenia and Ukraine” implemented in partnership with the Georgian Center for Psychosocial and Medical Rehabilitation of Torture Victims (GCRT), signed a contract with “Penitentiary Medical Center” SNCO to donate the latter means to fight against the pandemic.  

 

HCA Vanadzor Program Manager Ofelya Zalyan, who is also a member of the public group conducting observation in penitentiary institutions, signed the donation contract with Kamo Manukyan, Head of the SNCO.

 

 

The property costing AMD 2.588.000 will be provided to the SNCO already today. The donation includes 800 liters of disinfectant liquid, 30,000 masks and 4000 gloves.
